PANEL "Italy 2024 Deal Landscape" at IPEM #Cannes2024 had a strong following and a great success with the audience

Andrea Pescatori, CEO of Ver Capital, gave some highlights of the Italian private debt market, emphasizing how there is ample room for growth to recover from the decrease in lending by the banking system and, also taking into account recent regulatory changes , such as the floating charge. that make private debt operations in Italy more and more similar to those in major European countries.   Andrea also gave an overview of the drivers of the Special Situation market in Europe , pointing out that the Italian market, due to the large number of medium-sized companies and the recent reform of the Corporate Crisis Code (Insolvency Law), is one of the markets with the most interesting prospects for operators specialized in this sector. 

The panel discussion, moderated by  Paule Ansoleaga Abascal of  Arcano Partners, involved  Roberto Ippolito of Clessidra Capital Credit and Luigi Terranova of Riello Investimenti SGR and Andrea Pescatori,  in an interesting discussion on the prospects of the Italian market.
